Blood Borne Part IV

Gabe rushed into the basement of his house, holding Jessalyn in his arms. “Just a little longer baby. Hold on. I’ll make this better.” He walked behind the staircase and with a wave of his hand, he opened a trap door that opened into a large cavern. He laid her on the silk coverlet on the large four-poster bed and then turned to a cabinet on the far wall. He pulled out some candles that he had made himself, that were imbued with healing essences. He spread the candles around the room and lit them. In the flickering light Jessalyn looked even paler than usual and the spot where Guillermo had bit her was festering an ugly black color, the vampire’s toxins eating away at her flesh. Gabe grimaced when he set his mind to what he had to do, suck all the toxins out of her blood before they did too much damage while making sure that she didn’t lost too much blood. The not losing too much blood part would be a challenge too. Her smell had intoxicated him for the months that they had been working together and he really had to work hard to keep his vow to never drink from another human.

Jessalyn moaned in agony and started thrashing on the sheet and Gabe knew that he couldn’t wait any longer, the toxins from Guillermo’s saliva were eating away at her organs and he said a quick prayer of thanks that the scumbag hadn’t had time to force her to drink his blood and start a transformation. Gabe laid down on the bed next to Jessalyn and took her into her arms. He kissed her forehead gently before reassuring her. “Shhhh, everything will be okay soon. I’m going to make the hurt go away baby.”

He lowered his head to the burning hole in her neck and started sucking the blood out from her neck and then spitting it to the floor because the toxins would drive him mad if he ingested them. Even with the toxins infecting Jessalyn’s blood, he was hit hard by the flavor that she had. Jessalyn was so full of life and she tasted sweet and innocent. Gabe closed his eyes and focused on the task, he could think about seducing Jessalyn and convincing her to remain his after he saved her life. First things first. Gabe kept drinking and removing the toxins. It was a long hard job, and he was sweating blood from the effort. Eventually though, he managed to remove all of the toxins from her blood, but she was very pale. Gabe looked at the cooler sitting next to the bed that he knew was stocked with bags of blood but cold blood was not what Jess needed this minute. He sighed. This part was going to be even harder, Jess was going to have to drink right from him.

Gabe used his sharp finger nail to slice open his chest and he cradled Jess in his lap. He bit back a groan, she felt like she belonged there. He pressed her mouth to the bleeding wound and entered her mind, Drink Jess, you need this in order to live. She started drinking and Gabe felt like he’d been hit by a semi-truck with her cute mouth suckling at his chest. It was heaven and hell at the same time. In an instant it changed from heaven and hell to just hell because Jess woke up and started screaming.
